Recorded in my backyard with rode ntg-3 / dead wombat on zoom h6 recorder. Starts off with one decent short clap of thunder, but mostly rolling low rumble thunder and some rain here and there. Some of the rain drop sounds are sharp off of metal, some is just lightly hitting the ground. Some nearby trees blowing add to some of the ambiance.

This is a recording of rain with a zoom h6. You can hear the rain hitting the roof above my head. And i go closer to the ground at the end, where single drops are more clear.
Sound of heavy rain taken from a 1st floor balcony. Balcony surrounded by trees. Apologies in advance for the low level. Signal flow: zoom h6, omni-mic attachment.
Let me join 'thunder club. ' gray sky suddenly turned to be wild, and began to roar. I hastily connected a mic (ae5100) into fr-2, and recorded it. By the way, sound of thunder is one of the most difficult sources of all, i guess.
This is the sound of rain falling on a caravan roof in normandy at night. Recorded with voice record pro on an iphone 4s. Modified to improve stereo spread in logic.
Stereo recording from the kitchen doorway made with an edirol r44 and behringer c4 mics. You might also hear the sound of 6 gallons of honeysuckle wine fermenting in the kitchen behind. 16/07/15.
A passing storm in early spring recorded on my humble sansa mp3 player in woodstock, ny. A bit of fading in and out for a nice sounding loop is all that's been added. . . Relax and enjoy.
